A TYPICAL DAY

Today I arrived early to coach an early morning squad at 5:45am. Due to the nature of the swimming team I have to be present if we have an early morning squad training for our learners.  Our Aquatic team is flexible, energetic and very friendly, so we enjoy our early starts. There is a 40 minute downtime between squad training and curriculum lessons in the morning. I take that time to catch up with the Aquatic team and any urgent emails concerning the day. Our learners have curriculum lessons from 8:20am to 3:05pm. I check all the teachers’ calendars and help to set up for lessons and prepare to assist them. In between lessons I reply to emails, help to plan lessons, and other housekeeping matters. This weekend the Nexus Senior Squad is participating in a swim competition, and we will be there all day. I go over all the details to make sure that all the parents have been informed, we have confirmation from all the swimmers, and the buses have been booked. I assist in teaching a few more lessons after lunch. I finish my day at 4:30pm, but tomorrow I am teaching the afternoon squad, so I will be starting work a little bit later and finishing at 5:30pm.
