Senior Lecturer cum Program Director - ACCA/Diploma in Accounting

Teaching & Learning

  • Undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practicals; consultation with students, invigilation, marking and assessment
  • Participate and contribute in high quality programme and curriculum development
  • Plan and implement teaching strategies to optimise student learning as well as to motivate them
  • Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the College’s teaching and learning expectations


Program Director role

  • Determine teaching allocations for academic staff in an effective manner that optimise the utilisation of manpower.
  • Play a key role in leading the academic staff to provide a high level of student learning experience by monitoring and evaluating staff performance and providing regular feedback for continuous enhancement.
  • ​​​​​​​Monitor the overall academic performance of students and provide necessary advisory assistance to students who experience problems related to discipline, academic performance and/or attendance.
  • Ensure that there is is a high degree of staff-student engagement leading to the provision of effective and efficient administrative service to students.
  • Provide support towards Quality Assurance proceses and activities such as MoHE accreditation, SIRIM Audit and other regulatory requirements.


Administration and Other Activities

  • Undertake and contribute in administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, participate in committees and working groups within the Department and School
  • Participate in continuous relevant professional activities
  • Assist in establishing linkages with external organisations/ professional bodies in academic related matters



  • Possess a master degree or equivalent in Accounting/Business from a recognised university or an accounting professional qualification
  • A member of ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA or other equivalent professional bodies
  • Demonstrated links to relevant external organisations and/or the profession
  • Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching and coaching experience, and experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning,  is preferred
