Senior Executive-Facilities Management

Responsible for managing, direct and coordinate all functions of housekeeping and landscaping management. To ensure cost controls are in place. To assist Head of Facilities and Building Management to ensure all compliances meets with relevant contractual needs by managing the third-party vendor(s) and company requirements for The Boardwalk Commercial Complex.



  • To follow and practices the departmental SOPs, policies, and procedures that in line with the contractual compliances are part of the Job Description.
  • Take lead for the entire operation of the Housekeeping and Landscaping of department.
  • To show an example in strong leadership strategies and accessible to staffs. Support a highly encouraged and trained staff that continually hardworking for excellence in service and cleanliness.
  • Respond to and follow through on event requests and guide the client as well as to solve problems. Ensure that customer satisfactory and maintain deliverable services.  
  • Maintain or exceed cleanliness standards and positive feedback from the guest.  
  • To perform staff training and develop process and procedures on chemical handling and equipment usage and departmental policies.  
  • Manage the interviewing, scheduling, training, development, empowerment, coaching and counseling of staff.
  • To prepare staff work schedules and work planning for those running shift works. Consistently monitor and control all departmental spending costs and achieving targeted productivity.
  • Monitor daily timecard edit and prepare payroll to include extra earnings.
  • Manage operating expenses to minimize spending costs while still maintaining excellent services. Responsible for yearly budget preparing and forecasting and financial planning of the department,
  • Monitor the administrative of housekeeping functions to ensure accurate record keeping throughout the department. Maintaining inventories of chemicals and other supplies to ensure items are in stock and reordered in a timely manner.
  • To supervised and conduct daily inspection of floors, toilets etc. Ensure compliance with mall health, sanitation standards and regulations, to achieve a high level of cleanliness and mall occupant’s satisfaction.
  • A landscaping professional is responsible for overseeing the design of a variety of projects and assignments.
  • He/she is also responsible for providing and restoring the natural beauty of natural landscapes and seeing to the fact that they are well maintained throughout the year.
  • It is the job responsibility of a landscaping professional to establish the various general landscape requirements with the clients.
  • Another important job responsibility of a landscaping professional is to accurately prepare, plan and present the drawings of a landscaping project to the client and ask for his/her approval.
  • A landscaping professional is also responsible for ensuring that the project is finished within the deadline.
  • To take care of the costs and financial limitations of the client is also the responsibility of a landscaping professional.
  • A landscaping professional must also make site visits and plan the landscaping designs accordingly.
  • A landscaping architect may also be responsible for hiring a team of people or workers who can help in bringing together the landscaping design and implementing the project.
  • It is the responsibility of a landscaping professional to generate new business opportunities by networking and marketing etc.
  • Dealing with various types of inquiries and complaints of the client is another responsibility of a landscaping professional. Delegating duties to subordinates may also be included in the responsibilities of a landscaping professional.
  • Inspect and monitor work of contracted vendor (i.e. Night Cleaners).
  • To recommend to the Head of Facilities and Building Management on innovations to practice, procedure, and operation with potential favorable effect on service and quality assurance.
  • Any other duties that the Head of Facilities and Building Management may delegate from time to time.

  • Computer literature with general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.

  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum diploma in management skills.
  • Cleaning Science Diploma is an advantage
  • SPM Qualification or equivalent.


Related Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in mall management on cleaning services.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing cleaning processes.



  • Good interpersonal skills with strong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities in housekeeping processes.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Good command in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiatives and to operate under tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Able to work long hours.
  • Able to commence work immediately will be added advantage.
  • Landscaping management and maintenance of plants.
  • Event arrangement and coordination.
