Senior Executive - Accounts

JOB PURPOSE

 

The Accounts Executive is mainly responsible to assist Finance team and Finance Manager in handling daily finance operations matters; include verifying payments, assist in running of daily administrative matters, assist in  month-end closing accounts, reconciliation and prepare management accounts of the holding company and its subsidiaries, where applicable.

 

 

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage full set of accounts and responsible in closing of monthly management accounts;
  • Responsible to handle account receivable, including:
  • Issuance of invoices (Tax invoice, invoice), Debit Notes and Credit Notes
  • Monitoring of collections
  • Updating cash book, accounts receivables & etc
  • Responsible to handle account payable, including:
  • Recording of account payable transaction
  • Processing payment according to company standard operating procedures
  • Monitoring of cash flow
  • Updating cash book, account payable & etc
  • Ensure proper maintenance of accounting transaction in compliance with statutory and requirement;
  • Assist in the budget, forecast and cash flow submission;
  • Liaise with external auditor to close yearly statutory audit;
  • Liaise with tax agent on yearly tax filing and tax estimation;
  • Responsible for SST submission;
  • Responsible for compilation and filling of documentations for accounting and administration purpose;
  • To carry out any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

 

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

 

  • Candidate must possess at least qualified certificates such as Diploma in accounting or relevant degree in accounting.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum 3 years in administration or accounting functions experience

 

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

 

  • Possessed good basic computer skills.
  • Ability to meet deadline
  • Knowledge of basic administrative and company procedures
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Ability to take initiative to report to superior on work progress, discrepancies and proposed solutions (if necessary) on timely basis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
  • Ability to multi-tasks and prioritise on workload based on urgency
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
