Senior Education Counsellor - Business Development (B2B)

JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Education Counsellor - Business Development (B2B) is responsible for his/her individual achievement of Corporate Sponsored and Partnership students recruitment target in alignment with goals and targets set at Taylor’s University & College.
She /he also accountable for the achievement of the team sales targets, which supports Taylor’s University & College sales targets, by supporting the department Sales Pipeline (Lead, Contact, Appointment, Visit, Enrolment and Registration) for Undergraduate and Postgraduates programmes.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively develop and implement innovative business development strategies to market and promote the courses and programmes offered by Taylor’s University/College to educational institutions, private and/or public organisations
- Responsible for the sales strategies planning and implementation for the Malaysian corporate-sponsored and partnership market with the objective of increasing student enrolment in the various programmes at Taylor’s University/College from various segments.
- Strategize and implement sales and marketing plans for the targeted markets to increase student enrolment and to work very closely with the Institutional Marketing Department.
- To create and maintain up-to-date and accurate listing of organisations/sponsors/partners to receive updated marketing materials/ collaterals.
- Identify and contact private and/or public organisations/sponsors/partners to make appropriate presentations to promote the courses and programmes offered by Taylor’s University/College.
- Provide copies of the latest marketing materials/collaterals to organisations/sponsors/partners in the private and/or public organisations.
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with industry, professional bodies, sponsors and partners in respect to matters pertaining to the recruitment of students.
- Plan, implement and participate in all major student recruitment activities which include, but may not be limited to, education fair representations, Open Days and special events organised to attract potential students
- Support all marketing activities and develop network links in order to create more awareness of the courses and programmes offered by Taylor’s University/College
- Provide advice to prospective and newly admitted students with regards to the undergraduate & postgraduate programs as well as non-academic matters at the University at large.
- Conduct research on potential markets; gather and analyse competitors’ information and constantly update the market analysis to be on par with the top universities in the region.
- Maintain current information on trends and developments in the education industry and present recommendations for marketing and promotions of the courses offered by Taylor’s University/College.
- Assist and to provide input in the development of marketing and promotional materials in all media to support the marketing activities of Taylor’s University/College.
- Undertake any other projects that may be assigned from time to time by the Management of Taylor’s University/College.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Degree in Business/Management/Marketing or related discipline
RELATED EXPERIENCE
At least five (5) years of working experience in marketing, promotion, and public relations in a target driven sales environment

- Knowledge of and skills in using computer software e.g. Microsoft software applications
- Ability to positively and effectively interact and communicate well with customers, colleagues, business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
