Senior Digital Designer

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Creative Studio Lead, the Senior Digital Designer will be responsible for the execution of graphic designs and artwork for mainly digital mediums. The designs include graphics and artwork for digital advertising and marketing campaigns for display and social ads. This includes design and development of graphics for digital ads, resizing and cropping of visuals for adaptation across various ad formats and basic animation work for dynamic ads.

 

The role works closely with multiple stakeholders across the Marketing and Communication department, including Marketing, Student Recruitment, Public Relations, Digital and Content to cater for various audience group.

 

This role will be interfacing with multiple areas of the organisation and should possess exceptional communications, analytical skills (to articulate project brief), sharp in details of work and keep up to date with the latest creative development in the market, software and computer technologies.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and lead areas of responsibilities with the Creative Studio Lead
  • Create digital assets i.e. design and create banners and collaterals, animations, emails, interactive displays and etc on various digital platforms
  • Work along other designers to execute the campaign visuals
  • Create and execute concepts for digital advertising
  • Generate ideas to portray concepts, advertise products/services and digital content
  • Be a custodian of all things creative including brand identity
  • Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
  • Create images that identify a product or convey a message
  • Develop/refine images, fonts, text style, colours and layouts using graphic design software and to determine the message the design should portray
  • Develop graphics for product illustrations, advertising and recruitment campaigns
  • Present the design to internal stakeholders and the Creative Studio Lead
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the stakeholders into the final designs
  • Keep abreast of competitors’ work, staying up to date on industry trends and the latest digital design software
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
  • Design digital assets, test them, and optimize them based on their performance

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in-house professional digital design, creative or design firm as Senior Designer, Digital Designer, Graphic Designer or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, visual art or related fields
  • Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite software & UI/UX tools like Sketch, Balsamiq, InVision or any similar
  • Familiar in creating HTML5 banners and ad creatives in other digital format
  • Ability in developing 3D animations – added bonus
  • Ability in writing HTML code – added bonus

 

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Experience creating digital assets with wide breadth for a variety of target audiences
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design
  • Conceptualising visuals based on requirements
  • Understanding of digital and print mediums, as well as creative execution
  • Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment based on agreed brief
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
