Marketing Executive cum Graphic Designer

JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing Executive cum Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications campaigns, graphic design, photography and videography under the leadership and supervision of the Marketing Manager. 

 

 KEY RESULTS AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing & Graphic Design
 

  • Coordinate and assist the Marketing Manager in planning media buys/advertising, content and visual creation of materials and submission either in digital or print (with media agencies, advertising agencies, newspapers, other organisations) including measuring the performance through agency reports, analytics reports, use of the school’s CRM and other methods.

  • Designing of communication materials (brochures, booklet, advertisements, flyers, banners, document templates, poster for school major events etc) and other online collaterals (videos/ multimedia/web link pages etc)

  • Design, develop, create and publish content for internal marketing communications namely e-newsletters/e-news, whatsapp communications, posters, displays/wall designs around the school including the management of visuals on LCD Screens.

  • Develop, design and monitor performance of email marketing campaigns on the school’s CRM system or other methods

  • Coordinate marketing activities as well as support the Marketing Manager in budget planning (in areas of designing/printing/media buys/campaigns)

  • Update website with the latest school-related information e.g staff info, school details, staff photos, events, main banner, news & events section etc

  • Liaise with the website developer to ensure the website is updated with the latest version, major website changes (design/layout), fixing errors, etc.

  • Assist in designing layout and updating the school exhibits for LCD projection (when implemented) when necessary.

  • Assist in maintaining a compilation of school archives in the format of photos, videos, media coverage, advertisements, school events, newsletter productions, others.

  • Provide support during marketing events such as exhibitions, marketing talks, open weeks, others in terms of set up, designing presentations, preparing marketing kit and others.

 

Other Marketing Responsibilities
 

  • Videography & photograph of events and activities such productions, sport days, special school assemblies etc to be used in school collaterals, website, newsletter and archives.

  • Develop and edit videos for marketing promotions, school events, montage, interviews, production, and performances. 

  • Creating presentations, videos and photomontages for major school events when necessary.

  • Check/update touchpoints and school façade i.e. notice boards and marketing visuals, boards, and banners

  • Liaise with various suppliers and agencies e.g. advertising agencies, designers, printers, external photographers, etc.

  • Manage the premium items, brochure stocks and coordinate sending promotional materials when needed

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to ensure that policies and standards on the proper use of the AISM brand are adhered to in all communication materials 

  • Keep up to date with current digital and non-digital trends that may benefit the business

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Marketing/Graphic Design or equivalent.

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • At least three (2-5) years of working experience in marketing and communications, preferably in an educational institution

  • Candidates with graphic design skills (InDesign/Illustrator/Canva/Photoshop)

  • Candidates with photography skills would be an added advantage (but not

  • compulsory)

  • Candidates with basic videography and video editing skills would be an added

  • advantage (but not compulsory) 

 

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Creative design skills

  • Knowledge and skills in using computer software e.g. Microsoft software applications, Adobe, etc

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Creative, resourceful and self-motivated

  • Spoken and written English is used for all School communications and as such high standards of English communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening are required to be successful in this position
