Manager - Finance

Job Purpose

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur reporting to the VP, Finance of Taylor’s Schools.


● Responsible for financial reporting and group Consolidation for companies in Malaysia and Singapore.
● Oversee the financial operations of subsidiaries and ensure compliance with the relevant statutory requirements in Malaysia and Singapore (such as Financial Reporting Standards, Company Acts, Income Tax Act, etc)
● Preparation of annual budget, monthly financial closing and forecast for the investment holding companies and other dormant companies within Taylor’s Schools.
● Preparation of intercompany transaction schedule, cash flow management,
and other administration of tax obligations as required
● Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agent and financiers
● Work closely with other Department Heads outside of finance team and provide support/guidance to drive financial performance of the group
● Make recommendations to improve financial control and processes
● Preparation of other financial analysis whenever required


● Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or recognised professional qualification in Finance such as MICPA, ACCA, CPA or its equivalent
● Prior regional experience, including Singapore is preferred
● Prior experience in Big 4 Audit firms couple with commercial experience is preferred
● At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience
● Proven practical knowledge in accounting standards (MPERS and FRS) and all statutory regulations in Malaysia and Singapore
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to influence business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to adopt recommended changes
● Meticulous, organised, analytical and detail oriented
● Self-motivated and strong team player
