RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Learning

• Undertake teaching and teaching‑related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials; conducting lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions; providing student consultations; invigilating examinations; marking; and carrying out assessments.
• Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University’s teaching and learning expectations.

Administration and Other Activities

• Manage the English programme and language modules as Programme Director.
• Undertake and contribute to administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings and participating in committees and working groups within the Department, School, and Faculty.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess a PhD in English Language and have experience teaching English courses such as English Preparation classes, Academic English, Business Communication, and other relevant modules.
• Experience as Programme Director or Programme Coordinator for at least 1 year.
• Possess a publication record with at least 2 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years
• Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM20,000 - RM30,000 
• Experience working in a higher education environment, with a strong track record of teaching and professional knowledge in curriculum development; or a strong professional background with evidence of coaching, mentoring, and high‑quality presentation skills.
• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies to support teaching and learning.
