Senior Lecturer - Construction Management

What You Will Do
Lead Teaching and Learning
• Deliver modules related to construction management, project delivery, and digital construction practices
• Bring real industry case studies, project experiences, and practical insights into the classroom
• Guide students through industry-focused projects, problem-based learning, and professional skills development
Shape the Curriculum
• Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning materials
• Support innovation in areas such as digital construction, BIM, smart construction technologies, and sustainable construction practices
Support Academic Quality & Accreditation
• Assist the programme in maintaining high academic standards aligned with MQA and professional accreditation requirements
• Participate in programme review, academic quality assurance, audits, and accreditation visits
Mentor Future Industry Leaders
• Supervise student research projects and industry-based learning activities
• Support Work-Based Learning (WBL), industry collaborations, and professional engagement
Contribute to Research & Industry Collaboration
• Conduct applied research or consultancy related to construction management, digital construction, sustainability, or built environment innovation
• Build partnerships with construction firms, consultants, and technology providers

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome candidates from both academia and industry, particularly those with experience in:
• Construction project management, site and safety management, quality management
• Digital construction / BIM implementation
• Construction consulting or contracting
• Construction planning and scheduling, cost management, or procurement
• Sustainable construction and ESG practices
Requirements
- Minimum qualification of PhD with cumulative two (2) years of relevant teaching / industry experience
- Publication in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS,) in the last five (5) years at least 2 publications
- Secured research and/or consultancy grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth a minimum of RM20,000 (cumulative)
- Successful supervision and graduation of at least one (1) Master’s student will be an added advantage
