JOB PURPOSE

Taylor’s University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Senior Executive to spearhead our dynamic marketing strategy aimed at nurturing and expanding our community. This pivotal role encompasses support in development of content, fostering engagement with key demographics such as working adults, graduates, alumni, and corporate partners, and reinforcing our brand centered on career development and success. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in media partnerships, community building, digital marketing, and an analytical mindset to leverage data insights for enhancing community engagement and outreach efforts.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Community Building and Engagement

  • Relationship Building with Young Graduates and Alumni: Spearhead initiatives to engage young graduates and alumni, creating programs that cater to their interests and foster long-term relationships.
  • Event and Initiative Leadership: Organize and lead events, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen connections within the community, particularly focusing on career development and success.
  • Media Partnership Expansion: Leverage media partnerships to highlight alumni achievements and success stories, enhancing the community's visibility and appeal.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with corporate partners and professional associations to create opportunities for mentoring, internships, and career advancement for graduates and alumni.
  • Advocacy and Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a key ambassador, promoting the university’s commitment to lifelong success and community amongst graduates and alumni.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: Ensure all community engagement activities are inclusive, valuing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of young graduates and alumni.

 

2. Strategy and Planning

  • Strategic Community Engagement: Develop comprehensive engagement strategies to connect with target demographics, incorporating insights from digital marketing and community feedback.
  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Anticipate future trends in career development and higher education to keep the university's strategies adaptive and forward-thinking.
     

3. Digital and Social Media Engagement

  • Content Development: Collaborate with the digital marketing and content team on sharing insights gained from engagement efforts to co-produce compelling digital content that resonates with young graduates, alumni, and other key demographics.

 

4. Data Analysis and Insight Application

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data from engagement efforts and digital marketing to inform and refine community engagement strategies.
  • Feedback Loop Integration: Implement mechanisms for gathering and acting on community feedback, ensuring the university's offerings meet the evolving needs of its audience.
     

5. Leadership and Management

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing and other departments to ensure a unified approach to community engagement and brand strategy.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the community engagement budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support strategic goals.
     

6. Crisis and Reputation Management

  • Crisis Management: Manage community-related crises with transparency and integrity, preserving trust in the university's brand.
