Senior Education Advisor

JOB PURPOSE
The above position in University Placement Services (UPS) is responsible for counselling, guidance and assistance with applications as well as enrolment for Taylor’s College and Taylor’s University Transfer students seeking to continue their studies at the universities of their choice. He/she must work closely with institutions or organisations to ensure that UPS provides the best possible placement services to all students. In addition, this position is responsible to achieve the desired outcomes and KPls related to placing all students to the universities of their choice.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
University Placement — Locally or Overseas
- Create and promote awareness of UPS to all students, parents and stakeholders.
- Provide counselling, advise, guidance and assistance to all students and parents on university options and programmes, application procedures/processes, admission requirements, acceptances, student visas, accommodation, etc.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding documents for application submission, application status, acceptance of offer, visa status/documents (eg COE, CAS, ATAS, I20 etc), etc
- Track, record and maintain updated students information, correspondences (between students and UPS/UPS and institutions), university choices, applications and enrolments.
Country Custodian – AUSTRALIA
Responsible for University Placement information and promotional activities/events for designated Australian institutions
- Liaise and coordinate with UPS Marketing staff on the recruitment activities/events for designated Australian institutions such as briefings/talks/presentations/workshops/counselling sessions by Australian institutions, guest lectures, etc - in term of date, time, venue, announcement, poster, etc.
- Plan, organise and coordinate annual recruitment activities/events for designated Australian institutions.
- Organise and coordinate visa/pre-departure briefing for students
- Follow up with attendees from promotional activities/events for submission of applications.
- Monitor, track and maintain record of applications and enrolments for designated Australian institutions.
Marketinq and Promotional Activities/Events/Materials for UPS
Responsible for the following areas, providing support to the UPS Marketing Custodian:
- Oversee and support UPS marketing activities and initiatives.
- Manage and enhance UPS’s presence across various social media platforms.
- Prepare and create marketing and promotional content for UPS, including newsletters, bulletins, and monthly event calendars.
- Distribute marketing and event information to relevant stakeholders, such as students, parents, and staff, through emails and online platforms like the Student and Parent Portal.
- Ensure all information related to UPS is kept current and accurate on respective platforms.
- Collate and maintain resources such as student success stories, testimonials, UPS photos, videos, and other marketing assets.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute UPS marketing activities and events, including Education Fairs, Exhibitions, University Open Days, Application Weeks, and Orientation.
- Coordinate the creation and production of marketing materials for UPS, including flyers, roll-up banners, graduate materials, and country-specific information.
- Assist in the procurement process for UPS, supporting the acquisition of necessary resources and materials.
Other Matters
- Assist in counselling during peak periods such as Open Day, Parents Teacher Meeting etc
- Buddy for a colleague when he/she is away from office.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Diploma / Degree in any field
UK Agent and Counsellor Training Certification (British Council) preferred
RELATED EXPERIENCE
A highly motivated professional with at least 5 years of working experience
