RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Learning

• Undertake teaching and related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials; conducting classes/lectures, tutorials, and practicals; consulting with students; invigilating; marking and assessment.

• Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University’s teaching and learning expectations.

Administration and Other Activities

• Undertake and contribute to administrative responsibilities, such as attending departmental meetings and participating in committees and working groups within the Department, School, and Faculty.

• Provide academic support to students and communicate with them in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in any field within the Social Sciences or Humanities and experience teaching Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) subjects such as Falsafah dan Isu Semasa, Penghayatan Etika dan Peradaban, Kursus Integriti dan Antirasuah, and other MPU modules (U2-U4 category).

• Candidates must also be able to teach Mata Pelajaran Umum and attend the Training of Trainers (TOT) programme provided by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) for new modules offered to degree and diploma students.

• Proficient in using the Moodle platform, Microsoft 365, and related educational technology.

• Experience working in a higher education environment, with a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development, or a strong record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring, as well as high-quality presentation skills.

• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies to facilitate teaching and learning.
