RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Learning:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops that foster a deep understanding of interactive spatial design principles and practices, within the allocated part-time schedule.
- Facilitate hands-on learning experiences through projects, critiques, and studio-based activities that encourage experimentation and innovation.
- Utilize a range of teaching methodologies and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and promote active student engagement.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and creative development.
- Contribute to the development and assessment of coursework and examinations that effectively measure student learning outcomes.
Mentorship and Guidance:
- Provide academic and career guidance to students, supporting their personal and professional development within the scope of part-time availability.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
- May contribute to supervising student research projects or dissertations, as workload allows.
Service and Administration:
- Contribute to the development and review of innovative approaches in the curriculum, ensuring its relevance and alignment with industry needs, as part of the part-time role.
- Participate in departmental meetings and activities as appropriate for a part-time lecturer.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a minimum Master Degree from a recognised university in Design with a specialisation in Creative Media, Graphic Design or related field.
- Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills
- Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning
- Proficient with the use and teaching with Adobe Cloud Creative Suite applications, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Knowledge in other related softwares and other design skills like HTML 5 and CSS will be an advantage.
