RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Learning

• Undertake teaching and teaching‑related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials; conducting lectures, tutorials, and practicals; providing student consultations; invigilating examinations; and carrying out marking and assessments.
• Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University’s expectations for teaching and learning excellence.

Administration and Other Activities

• Undertake and contribute to administrative responsibilities, including attending departmental meetings and participating in committees and working groups within the Department, School, and Faculty.

REQUIREMENTS

• The candidate must have a minimum of a PhD in Pengajian Bahasa Melayu and a relevant Bahasa Melayu background.
• Experience teaching Bahasa Melayu modules to both local and international students, as well as the ability to teach other Mata Pelajaran Pengajian Umum (MPU) modules such as Falsafah dan Isu Semasa, Penghayatan Etika dan Peradaban, Kursus Integriti dan Antirasuah, among others.
• Ability to teach MPU modules and willingness to attend the Training of Trainers (TOT) provided by MOHE for newly offered modules at the degree and diploma levels.
• Possess a publication record with at least 1 publication in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years
• Experience working in a higher education environment with a strong track record of teaching, curriculum development, coaching, and mentoring, supported by excellent presentation skills.
• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including effective use of IT technologies to support teaching and learning.
