RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

Teaching & Learning 

  • Deliver high-quality teaching through lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions within the assigned discipline. 

  • Contribute to curriculum design, course material preparation, and assessment activities to ensure effective student learning. 

  • Develop engaging teaching materials and employ innovative teaching methodologies, including digital and technology-enhanced approaches. 

  • Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and consultation to students to support their learning progress and overall development. 

  • Participate in activities to enhance teaching quality and align with the University’s teaching and learning standards. 

 

Research 

  • Engage actively in scholarly and research activities within the relevant field. 

  • Publish research work in reputable indexed journals (ISI / Scopus) and participate in academic or professional conferences. 

  • Contribute to collaborative research projects within the Department or across disciplines. 

  • Demonstrate potential and commitment to developing a sustainable research profile. 

  • Actively seek opportunities to participate in grant applications and research initiatives as part of a research team. 

 

Administration and Other Activities 

  • Participate in departmental, school, and faculty meetings, committees, and working groups. 

  • Contribute to the coordination and administration of academic programmes and related activities. 

  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching, research, and service effectiveness. 

  • Support initiatives that foster partnerships with industry, professional bodies, or community organisations 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

  • PhD in Hospitality, Tourism or other relevant fields from a recognised university. 

  • At least one (1) indexed journal publication (Scopus Q1 or Q2). 

  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to research, with potential for future scholarly contributions. 

  • Evidence of effective teaching delivery and student engagement in higher education or related settings. 

  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and adopt innovative teaching methods. 

  • Active participation in departmental and professional activities. 

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and contribution to the academic community.
