JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent is to carry out the day-to-day maintenance activities containing scientific apparatus, laboratory supplies/glassware and experimental practical/projects.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic
Dusting and wiping of lab equipment, tables/workbenches, models and trolleys using rags.
Scrubs shelves, racks, tables, work benches and sinks using cleaning solutions and brushes.
Washing, rinsing, drying of lab glassware and utensils.
Rearranging of glassware and utensils at the designated cabinet/place after drying.
Checking and refilling of soap dispenser, detergent/wash bottles and distilled water containers.
To assist in the basic setup of practical for examinations.
To assist and perform other duties as and when required,

JOB SPECIFICATION

MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

PMR or SPM

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Preferably at least 3 years relevant working experience, preferably in an educational institution

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

Ability to communicate comfortably with students and staff in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Possess a good command of English
Possess good planning, coordinating, managing and time management skills
Resourceful, customer focused, self-motivated and result oriented
