JOB PURPOSE:


The intern will assist in executing programs and events that promote residents' well-being, not limiting to digital literacy skills, life skills, learning skills, leadership development, social and physical events. The key focus will be supporting the Service-Learning Program and other student-centered initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about student engagement, educational impact, and event coordination within a vibrant residential community.

 


 

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Program & Event Support (Intellectual Wellbeing)
  • Assist in organizing workshops and activities related to student’s wellbeing development.
  • Support logistical coordination including registration, setup, attendance, and on-site facilitation and support (photos taking, set-up, on-site duty as required).
  • Help manage communications and follow-up for events through digital platforms (e.g., MS Teams, WhatsApp).

 

  1. Service-Learning & Community Engagement
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the LaunchPad and other service-learning programs.
  • Coordinate with student teams and partners, track project progress, and assist in preparing documentation and impact reports.

 

  1. Resident Engagement
  • Assist in promoting resident programs through poster design, content writing, and digital outreach.
  • Help collect and organize feedback from participants to improve engagement efforts.
  • Participate in planning team discussions to generate creative ideas for student-centered initiatives.

 

  1. Digital Tools & Communication
  • Use tools like Canva, Microsoft Forms, Excel, and PowerPoint to support event design, promotion, data tracking, and presentation development.
  • Support the digitization of feedback forms, program records, and engagement data.

 

  1. Administrative Tasks
  • Maintain participant records, event databases, and communication logs.
  • Assist in compiling post-event reports and visual summaries.
  • Help in preparing slide decks, feedback summaries, and basic reporting using structured templates.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

 

  • Strong interest in student affairs, education, or community development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, student-focused environment.
  • A proactive team player with a willingness to learn.

 


 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Academic Qualification:


Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Mass Communication, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field.

 

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Involvement in university clubs, volunteer programs, or event organization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and tools for communication, design, or project management is advantageous.
