The Head, Digital Learning and Technology will provide strategic direction and manage the implementation of digital enhanced learning at Taylor’s University and College. The role will focus on leveraging digital technologies, including GenAI, to enhance the educational excellence experience and accelerate digital transformation at Taylor’s. He/She will combine a deep understanding of digital technologies with a passion for pedagogy, work in partnership with Head of Schools to provide thought leadership in implementing and managing digital innovation initiatives.  

 

 

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify and implement cutting-edge, digital-enhanced learning solutions, including AI-driven platforms, to create digital enhanced learning experiences that are personalized, scalable, and data-driven.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders to lead university-wide digital transformation initiatives.
  • Forge strong partnerships with edtech vendors, industry leaders, and peer institutions to stay at the forefront of digital educational innovation and to drive digital learning innovations based on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Programme Directors to evaluate the existing curriculum and identify areas where GenAI technologies can complement or enhance content delivery and student engagement.
  • Develop sustainable practices and gradually scale up the implementation of AI-Powered Teaching Assistant across the institution based on successful roll-up results.
  • Researches, recommends, and implements best practices and solutions for digital learning technologies.
  • Provide meaningful analysis and actionable insights to stakeholder in the areas of digital learning innovations.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the digital learning projects to all stakeholders.

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

 

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

 

Minimum Master Degree in the relevant area of specialization and at least 8 years of equivalent work experience. A Doctoral qualification is preferred.

 

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE

 

Familiarity with higher education sector and experience in team management. Exposure to project management and consulting would be an advantage.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the issues and implications of in-class and distance learning, along with mitigation strategies for dealing with them.
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching/motivational skills, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts, as well as technical software issues.
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Very strong customer service orientation.
