Executive - International Student Recruitment

The Executive, International Student Recruitment – South Asia is responsible for executing international student recruitment and market development activities across assigned South Asian markets to achieve individual and assigned market enrolment targets for Taylor’s University & Colleges.
The role is responsible for managing the student recruitment pipeline from Lead → Opportunity → Application → Offer → VAL → Arrival → Registration, while providing professional counselling and timely support to prospective students, parents and education agents.
The Executive will support the development of South Asian markets through student recruitment, agent engagement, market activation, lead generation, pipeline conversion, market intelligence and recruitment events.
The role works closely with the Manager, International Student Recruitment – South Asia and internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution of recruitment strategies and a positive student experience throughout the recruitment journey.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
A. GROW ENROLMENT
• Achieve assigned individual and market recruitment targets on an annual and intake-cycle basis.
• Manage and convert assigned leads and opportunities through the complete recruitment pipeline.
• Proactively follow up prospective students and parents through email, telephone, WhatsApp, CRM and other approved
communication channels.
• Provide accurate information and professional counselling on:
o Programme selection
o Admission requirements
o Tuition fees
o Scholarships and financial assistance
o Accommodation
o Visa requirements
o Student services
o Pre-arrival and registration requirements
• Follow up on applications, offers, payments, visa applications, VAL and arrival arrangements.
• Ensure timely follow-up of students with pending documents or outstanding requirements.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and promote other relevant programmes offered by Taylor’s Higher Education.
• Support other international recruitment markets when required.
B. SOUTH ASIA MARKET DEVELOPMENT
• Execute approved recruitment strategies and market action plans for assigned South Asian markets.
• Develop an understanding of student demand, market trends, competitor activities, programme preferences and
scholarship offerings.
• Identify new recruitment opportunities including schools, colleges, institutions, education partners and other relevant
channels.
• Support the development of new and emerging markets within South Asia.
• Conduct market intelligence and provide regular feedback to the Manager.
• Monitor recruitment performance by country, agent, programme and intake.
• Identify recruitment gaps and opportunities and recommend appropriate follow-up actions.
• Support market development projects and special recruitment initiatives assigned by the Manager.
C. EDUCATION AGENT & PARTNER MANAGEMENT
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appointed education agents and recruitment partners.
• Regularly engage agents and provide timely updates on programmes, admission requirements, scholarships, fees and
recruitment initiatives.
• Support agents in generating and converting student enquiries into applications and enrolments.
• Conduct agent visits, training, presentations, webinars and engagement activities as required.
• Monitor individual agent performance and identify opportunities to increase productivity.
• Support the activation and reactivation of productive and potential agents.
• Identify potential new recruitment partners and provide recommendations to the Manager.
• Ensure timely follow-up of agent enquiries and student cases.
• Maintain professional relationships with agents and represent Taylor’s University positively in the market.
D. STUDENT COUNSELLING & SALES CONVERSION
• Provide professional and personalised counselling to prospective students and parents.
• Understand students’ academic background, career aspirations and programme preferences.
• Recommend appropriate Taylor’s programmes based on student needs and admission eligibility.
• Handle enquiries, objections and concerns professionally.
• Build relationships with prospective students and maintain regular follow-up until enrolment.
• Prioritise high-potential leads and ensure timely conversion activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all student interactions and follow-up activities in the CRM.
• Ensure prospective students receive consistent and accurate information throughout the recruitment process.
E. RECRUITMENT EVENTS & MARKET ACTIVATION
• Participate in and support:
o Education fairs
o School visits
o College visits
o Counselling sessions
o Open Days
o Agent events
o Webinars
o Seminars
o Exhibitions
o Student engagement activities
• Support market activation campaigns in assigned South Asian countries.
• Deliver presentations to students, parents, counsellors, agents and institutional partners when required.
• Generate and qualify leads from recruitment activities.
• Ensure all event-generated leads are recorded in the CRM and followed up within the required timeline.
• Evaluate the quality of leads and provide feedback on recruitment activities.
• Support pre-departure and student engagement activities where required.
F. STUDENT EXPERIENCE
• Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, parents and agents throughout the recruitment journey.
• Ensure timely, accurate and professional responses to enquiries.
• Maintain regular communication with students from initial enquiry through registration.
• Proactively identify potential issues affecting student conversion or enrolment.
• Coordinate with relevant internal departments to resolve student issues.
• Ensure students receive a smooth and positive experience from enquiry to arrival and registration.
G. CRM, PIPELINE & DATA MANAGEMENT
• Ensure all prospective student information is accurately maintained and updated in Taylor’s CRM system.
• Maintain accurate records of:
o Leads
o Opportunities
o Applications
o Offers
o Payments
o VAL status
o Arrivals
o Registrations
• Conduct regular pipeline reviews and prioritise high-potential prospects.
• Ensure timely follow-up of all assigned leads and opportunities.
• Monitor lead-to-application and application-to-enrolment conversion.
• Provide accurate pipeline updates and recruitment forecasts to the Manager.
• Ensure CRM information is complete, accurate and updated within the required timeline.
• Use recruitment data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities.
H. MARKET INTELLIGENCE & COMPETITOR ANALYSIS
• Monitor competitor programmes, fees, scholarships, promotions and recruitment activities.
• Gather feedback from students, parents, agents and schools regarding market preferences.
• Identify changes in student demand and recruitment trends.
• Provide regular market intelligence updates to the Manager.
• Highlight emerging risks and opportunities within assigned markets.
• Support the development of country-specific recruitment initiatives based on market insights.

J. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
• Work closely with Admissions, Finance, Visa/EMGS, Student Services, Marketing, Academic Schools and other relevant
departments.
• Coordinate and follow up on student applications, payments, visa matters and registration requirements.
• Escalate complex cases to the Manager or relevant internal department.
• Support other International Student Recruitment team members when required.
• Share relevant market intelligence and recruitment insights with the wider team.
• Participate in departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A. Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, International Business, Education, Social Science, Psychology
or another relevant discipline.
B. Related Experience
• Preferably 1 years of working experience in:
o International student recruitment
o Education counselling
o Sales
o Business development
o Customer relationship management
o Higher education
• Experience working with education agents or international markets will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong communication, sales and customer-facing capabilities may also be considered.
