JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Digital, Tech and Content department, the Content Producer will work closely with the Content Manager to develop and execute content ideas for various digital platforms, both moving and static. Responsible for ideating and managing components of the content and creative process to ensure that the output is of the highest possible quality, meeting the brand requirements and in line with the direction set by the Digital, Technology and Content department.

 

This person must be able to utilize all visual, audio, and interactive formats available to creatively convey information while prioritizing user experiences. He or she must be up to date with creative trends and content approaches and curious about new creative technologies.
 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with Content Manager and team to craft and develop content ideas to meet department objectives;

Familiarise with the organization's brand ideals, direction and strategy to create content that supports those objectives and desired identity;

• Supervise the creation of content - from concept through to delivery

• Pay attention to ensure all content is on brand and meets brand requirements

• Oversee and uphold creative standards and consistency across media types;

• Source for cost estimates, quotations, and monitor budgets;

• Keep up to date with the ever-shifting social media landscape & digital mediums

• Assist the Content Manager in ensuring the team accomplishes its project goals

• Maintain the organizations equipment, ensuring that the equipment stays in reliable condition; this position is also responsible for researching and suggesting upgrades/purchases when needed

• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Broadcasting, Advertising, Film and Television or anything related
 

RELATED EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 5 years in the field of digital media production and social media content development or any relevant fields
 

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

• In-depth knowledge and experience in creative processes

• Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identity

• Excellent verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language

• Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets company objective

• Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices

• Ability to operate under deadline and coordinate a multitude of projects simultaneously

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and the Adobe

Creative Cloud Suite

• Can work both independently and as a collaborative team player

• A self-starter that is resourceful and able to handle a project through to completion with little direction

• Excellent project management and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail, and a high-quality work ethic

• A passion for storytelling with the ability to think outside the box

• Able to problem solve quickly and efficiently

• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data

• Experience in photography/videography is a plus

• Experience in editorial writing is an added benefit
