JOB PURPOSE

Supports and executes the operations of the Centre towards achieving the mission and goals set for Career Services Centre and the University related to students' graduate employability and career readiness success. This includes sourcing for internship opportunities, job matching, workshops, seminars, talks and other career services activities for students. He/She is also required to work closely with industry partners to promote and provide placement and job opportunities. He/She is also to provide support and assist Manager and Assistant Manager.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • High Graduate Employment Rate
  • Graduate Employability Framework to drive a high GE culture and enhance the employability skills of Taylor's students
  • Positioning the University as the preferred Graduate Talent Provider among employers and industry
  • Effective Tracking of 6-month GE Rate and GE Data Management
  • Graduate Employment Support (i.e. Graduate Employers Network and Graduate Programmes/Management Associate Programmes)
  • Work with relevant partners in enhancing graduate employability of the University's graduates including offering employment opportunities. Work with relevant internship partners/hosts/providers in building smart and sustainable partnerships including  offering internship opportunities, and collaborating on MOUs/MOAs, etc.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employers, industry, and relevant

stakeholders in positioning the University as the preferred fresh graduate and internship talent provider

  • Provide support to team members in managing all related matters and initiatives. Assist as first point of contact for all internship welfare matters and ensure all issues are resolved professionally, developing proactive and preventive mechanism to ensure safety and welfare matters adheres to the University's Policy
  • Facilitate strategic initiatives and implement action plans to achieve the University and the Centre's goals
  • Implement comprehensive graduate employability framework and programmes to ensure high employability among the University's students e.g. identifying Corporate Graduate  Recruitment  Programmes  and Partners  (local  and overseas);  graduate recruitment drives (on and off campus, virtual & physical, local and overseas); promote strategic partnership for focused and exclusive recruitment initiative for the University's graduates
  • Initiate a high graduate employability culture among Taylor's community encompassing students and faculties
  • Coordinate innovative approaches in enhancing the University's graduate employability rate
  • Develop the students' employability skills by implementing strategic initiatives and the quality of students' internship experience that is aligned to their learning outcomes by providing timely and critical feedback and input from industry to faculty
  • Execute effective tracking, analysis and reporting of graduate employability (status) including fresh graduate surveys
  • Organize complete and comprehensive graduate EMPLOYER SURVEY to support various programme review/audit exercise
  • Provide support as the data and knowledge centre for all graduate employability related records for the University
  • Drive high performance to achieve the University mission
  • Conduct career coaching, advising and counselling, to enhance students' career readiness and empowerment
  • Participate actively in collaborative effort and cross-functional duties within Career Services Centre
  • Perform assigned ad-hoc duties that advance the interest of the University and Career Services Centre, as and when required
  • Ensure effective tracking, analysis and reporting of GE and internship related surveys (non-academic).Provide support as the data and knowledge centre for all internship related records for the University, except for academic reports
  • Design comprehensive Internship management system, processes, governance and mechanism to support student internship placement aligned with set learning outcomes that adheres to the University's governance and direction
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/ PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

 

Min Bachelors Degree in any field from a regionally accredited or approved nationally accredited institution

 

Preference (1) Postgraduate qualifications

Preference (2) Professional certification and qualification in counselling and/or coaching

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE

 

Min 5-7 years proven strong track record of performance & achievement in a high-paced, ever­ changing work environment
