Assistant Manager, Innovation & Analytics
JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Manager, Innovation and Analytics is responsible for driving digital transformation and integrating innovative data solutions to enhance student success and experience at Taylor’s Residence. This role involves identifying and implementing AI tools and technology, training both staff and students, and supporting the digitalization of operations to streamline processes. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will develop and maintain data analytics platforms, drive the adoption of cutting-edge technology, and oversee key projects that enhance operational efficiency and student engagement.
This position also entails collaborating with various departments to lead operational excellence through data-driven initiatives and innovation. The Assistant Manager will ensure the seamless integration of technology in resident programs while optimizing processes to support student success and aligning with institutional goals.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
- Innovation and Digitization
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI and technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, student engagement, and overall student experience.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including platform integration, VR adoption, and app development, to enhance resident and operational experiences.
- Monitor emerging trends in education technology, digital tools, and processes to align with the department’s vision.
- Manage and execute the digitization of systems and processes at Taylor’s Residence to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the implementation of digital learning platforms that provide access to online resources and tools.
- Data Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze student performance data, satisfaction metrics, and operational data to provide actionable insights.
- Utilize analytics tools such as Power BI to track project progress, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Training & Development
- Design and conduct workshops to train staff and students on AI tools, digital literacy, and other relevant technology skills.
- Lead monthly learning initiatives (e.g.,Techbyte), focusing on data analytics, AI tools, and innovative technologies.
- Provide mentorship to support the adoption of new tools and methodologies.

- Lead the planning, development, and execution of key departmental projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, deliverables, and strategic goals.
- Coordinate with external vendors for the successful implementation of technology-based solutions.
- Manage pilot testing phases and iterative feedback cycles to refine solutions before full-scale rollout.

- Implement systems and processes that streamline operations, improve communication, and enhance resident satisfaction.

- Collaborate with other departments to execute innovation, digital transformation, and data-driven initiatives, providing leadership and guidance on adopting and utilizing new tools.

- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute strategic plans to support digitalization and innovation initiatives.
- Facilitate the smooth integration of new systems and tools with existing processes, ensuring operational efficiency improvements.
- Support collaborative efforts with stakeholders to align initiatives with overall institutional goals.

- Communication and Outreach
- Work with the Head of Student Success and the marketing department to promote innovation-related programs.
- Monitor and enhance existing feedback mechanisms to gather input from staff and residents, ensuring continuous improvement of programs and services in alignment with departmental objectives.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Able to effectively communicate with both students and staff, and provide training on AI tools, data analytics, and digital platforms.
- Proficient in using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel for creating reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledgeable in AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate) to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Experienced in SQL for querying databases, extracting, and managing data to create comprehensive reports and dashboards for office operations and student success metrics.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting tasks to enhance efficiency and handle large datasets.
- Experienced in using project management tools such as Trello, Asana, and Microsoft Planner to organize tasks, manage projects, and track timelines.
- Ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and spoken formats.
- Able to collaborate effectively with various departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to drive innovation and technology initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for creating reports, presentations, and handling daily office operations.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects in a high-paced, results-oriented environment, ensuring smooth operations and timely project delivery.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing responsibilities, environments, and new technologies, while maintaining high performance under pressure.
- Capable of navigating conflicts or challenges within the office environment while maintaining professionalism and positive outcomes.
- Willing to work extended hours when needed to meet deadlines and ensure project success.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum academic/professional qualification
Diploma or Degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or any related discipline focused on digital tools, innovation, and analytics.
Related experience
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in data analytics, digital transformation, or innovation-related roles, preferably in educational, residential, or organizational development environments.
- Proven experience in managing technology-driven projects, including training staff or students on AI tools, data visualization, and automation processes.
Competencies (knowledge, skills & abilities)
- Self-driven and highly motivated individual who can work well in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as data analytics platforms (Power BI), and project management tools.
- Capable of using SQL and Python for data processing, analysis, and automation, and able to integrate these skills into improving office workflows and decision-making.
- Ability to work on own initiatives and to operate under tight schedules and timeline.
- Ability to interact with and connect with youths, and to provide guidance, inspiration and be a mentor to them.
