The Analyst, Payroll is responsible for executing payroll operations efficiently, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in payroll processing. The role involves validation of employee data, payroll calculations, statutory contributions, and process improvement initiatives while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to regulations. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders, supports employees with payroll-related inquiries, and contributes to process improvement initiatives.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Payroll Processing & Compliance
•    Process payroll for TEG Group employees with precision, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and payroll timelines.
•    Verify payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.

2.    Payment Processing & Statutory Contributions
•    Ensure timely salary disbursement and statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, etc.).
•    Process payments to third-party vendors such as banks, Zakat, Tabung Haji, and PTPTN.

3.    Reporting & Audit Compliance
•    Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders and ensure timely submission to statutory bodies.
•    Ensure effective document management for payroll records in compliance with data protection regulations.
•    Assist in internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation and reports.

4.    Collaboration & Issue Resolution
•    Work closely with People & Culture, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
•    Support Business Continuity Plans by collaborating with stakeholders during payroll disruptions or emergencies.

5.    Employee Inquiries & Support
•    Serve as the first point of contract for employee inquiries related to payroll, providing accurate and timely assistance.
•    Provide timely support for SOFIA-related matters and ensure clear communication in resolving expatriate-related concerns, escalating when necessary.

6.    System Customization & Updates
•    Assist in managing payroll system updates related to statutory changes, policy amendments, and system enhancements.
•    Handle change requests in the HRIS system for continuous process improvements.
•    Conduct functional testing in QAS and PRD environments for payroll system changes & AMS-related tickets.

7.    Continuous Improvement
•    Assist in process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency.
•    Identify opportunities to improve employment data administration processes.

8.    Record Keeping & Documentation
•    Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including payroll transactions, tax documents, and statutory filings.
•    Ensure proper documentation storage and retrieval for compliance and audit readiness.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.

RELATED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 years of experience in payroll processing or HR operations.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong understanding of payroll systems, statutory regulations, and tax compliance.

Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP) and payroll processing tools.

Experience in payroll reconciliation, reporting, and data management.
