Qualifications:
- A degree in Medicine and a minimum of a master’s degree in the related specialization or a PhD in a specific relevant field will be preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in a specific area of medicine.
- Proven track record in teaching and research.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ALL CLINICAL SPECIALIZATION CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ANNUAL PRACTICING CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE MALAYSIAN MEDICAL COUNCIL OR BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ONE.
A MALAYSIAN NATIONAL SPECIALIST REGISTRY REGISTRATION WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a master’s degree in the related specialization or a PhD in a specific relevant field will be preferred. A first degree in medicine would be an advantage.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Candidate must be familiar with academic processes and regulatory requirements of MQA and also be able to carry out the duties of an Academic Administrative (where applicable).
- Undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practical; consultation with students, invigilation, preparation and marking of assessments
- Participate and contribute to high quality programme and curriculum development
- Plan and implement teaching strategies to maximise the student learning towards the module/programme learning outcomes
- Ability to conduct high quality research evidenced by a strong publication and citation record (Scopus/Clarivate indexed).
- Ability to successfully win competitive research grants as the Principal Researcher evidenced by a strong track record.
- Maintain high standards in supervising postgraduate research students.
- Applicants with patents registered / consultancy works carried out will be given preference
- Assist in establishing linkages with external organisations/ professional bodies in academic related matters locally and internationally
