JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the property maintenance, assistance with capital projects & works conform to Engineering Standards and Government Legislation. Participates in the overall building maintenance management to assist Facility Manager of Facilities Management to ensure all compliances meets with relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements for The Boardwalk Commercial Complex.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide a professional, advisory and executive support service to the Facility Manager to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the department.
• Analyses monitor and maintain records relating to Utility costs throughout the Complex/Mall.
• Carry out regular inspections of plant and equipment and ensure that inspections required are conducted and documented.
• Carry out general room inspections and preventative maintenance inspections including the scheduling of all these works.
• Check all Fire and Engineering safety features to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
• Implements energy and water management systems to minimize wastage and costs.
• Implement cost effective Preventative Maintenance and Condition Monitoring Programs.
• Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of building, electrical and mechanical service, water features, fixtures, furnishings and equipment.
• Liaise and supervise all preventative maintenance contracts on site and ensure appropriate standards are met.
• Carry out all emergency repairs to all technical equipment, general fitting, welding etc.
• Maintain and audit all workshop tools and equipment for the running of workshop’s trades and functions.
• Ensure the workshops have adequate stock and materials in stores and that all workshops are kept in a clean and safe environment.
• Oversee so that expenses are in line with department budgeting, capital plan and projects.
• Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans.
• Prepare monthly outlook/forecast and reports.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of all plant / mechanical equipment rooms.
• Prepare Engineering reports as required by Facility Manager.
• Any other duties that the Facility Manager may delegate from time to time.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES
• Must possess hands-on knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning works.
• Familiar with local building by-laws.
• Well-versed in advanced BAS.
• Strong working knowledge in energy conservation. Preferably with experience in mitigation of carbon footprint.
• Experienced in conducting energy efficiency audits.
• Knowledge in green building technology would be an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Property preventative maintenance.
• Repairs to Electrical system.
• Fire protection and preventive maintenance.
• Environmental protection, energy and water saving.
• Engineering Policies and Procedures.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• SPM Qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in building maintenance overseeing team of technicians.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing Engineering Standards.
