Director - Curriculum Innovation and Development

The Director, Curriculum Innovation and Development, is responsible to catalyse curriculum innovation and good practices in curriculum development, supporting the University’s vision and mission. The Director is also responsible to lead a team to facilitate or advise curriculum development by working with various stakeholders.  The intended outcome of this position is to contribute to the quality of the graduate and student learning experience.




  1. Advise the implication of the latest changes of the statutory and regulatory requirements on curriculum design and development, especially from the Ministry of Education (Higher Education), Malaysian Qualifications Agency and professional bodies
  2. Advise the implication of the latest development on industry expectation, student expectation, discipline and academic development on curriculum design and development
  3. Benchmark and advocate curriculum innovation and good practices in curriculum design and development
  4. Lead and institutionalise curriculum transformation projects by working with various stakeholders
  5. Facilitate or advise new programme development, including assessment, and learning and teaching, guided by Taylor’s policy and procedures
  6. Ensure Taylor’s academic policies are developed and updated timely, as well as communicated with relevant stakeholders
  7. Create awareness and strengthen competency in curriculum design and development as well as academic policies among faculties guided by the policy and procedure as well as good practices
  8. Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time





  • Relevant master’s degree in Education, Quality Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field. A doctoral degree is preferred.



  • At least eight (8) years of related working experience



  • Possess good leadership (strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, etc.) and managerial skills
  • Possess a good knowledge of the higher education industry including the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Possess a good knowledge of the key processes of a higher education institution, including curriculum design, assessment, learning and teaching, etc. 
  • Possess experience and skills in curriculum benchmarking, curriculum design and development.
  • Possess good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
