DT / ICT Teacher (Temporary)

Taylor's International School (Puchong) Sdn Bhd



A teacher aspires to teach in a manner and at a level which is in accordance with the school’s published “Principles of professional practise for teachers at Taylor’s International School”



  • Placement in Secondary school, teaching learners aged 12 to 15.
  • Knowledge of evaluating a design process together with experience in using small hand tools and some small workshop electrical tools advantageous/ Teaching ICT skills to a range of Secondary year groups within the school up to IGCSE level.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities.
  • Organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Undertaking pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting students on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
  • Achieving the highest levels of teaching and learning, with a proven track record of success as a teacher.
  • Being part of a small team of teachers to ensure the very best planning, teaching and learning is taking place for all our students.
  • Staying abreast of developments in private education in general and international education in particular
  • Managing student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
  • Motivating students with enthusiastic, interactive presentation.
  • Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive students' development.
  • Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of students' development.
  • Communicating with parents over students' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' meeting and whole school training events.
  • Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
  • Organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
  • This is a Temporary Position available for 1 term beginning Jan 2022 – April 2022

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Education or related field (Design & Technology/ICT, etc)
  • Preferably with Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
  • Ability to teach subjects from IGCSE is an advantage.
  • At least 2 year(s) of teaching experience in a school environment (preferably experience teaching IGCSE DT/ICT).
  • Applicants with experience in Leading a Team is an added advantage.
  • A vision and passion to help expand and develop ICT as an exciting IGCSE subject.
  • This is a Temporary Position available for 1 term beginning Jan 2022 – April 2022, hence candidate must be able to start work in Jan 2022.
