JOB PURPOSE

 

The Accounts Executive (temporary/contract) is responsible in carrying out day-to-day finance functions which is mainly related to billings.

 

JOB TASKS

 

  • To maintain receivables billing records and up to date billing system.
  • Generate and send out invoices and reminders within stipulated time.
  • Manage daily activities to ensure the operational goals are met.
  • Arrange for collection receipts to be deposited into bank accounts.
  • Support other AR team members and achieve a high level of teamwork in the completion of document processing and resolving AR related issues.
  • Adhere to procedure and internal guidelines. Ensure compliance to internal controls and maintain proper evidence and required documentation to meet internal or external audit standards.
  • Provide support to other functions within the Finance Department as and when required.
  • Assist in any other ad-hoc projects assigned by superior from time to time.

 

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

 

  • Degree in Accounting or other relevant accounting qualification

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE

 

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience

 

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

 

  • Knowledge of handling full set of accounts
  • Knowledge of technical accounting skills, accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of finance principles and financial reporting
  • Knowledge in accounts receivable will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and organising skills
  • IT skills: SAP ERP System, Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access) and computerised accounting software
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
